CHANTAL CROUSEL GALLERY
The Chantal Crousel Gallery has established itself in 1980 with the first solo exhibition outside Great-Britain of Tony Cragg.
Since, Chantal Crousel has been revealing the work of artists of very different origins to the French and international art scene of collectors and institutions. All these artists share the exploration of a content and a wide range of expressions that put into the light the essential values that subtend the contemporary society. Each one of them draw from their own cultural heritage to develop forms and meaning that are both powerful and universal. A large majority of these artists are now present in the most important collections.
Among other artists Chantal Crousel has been promoting from their very beginning are following (in chronological order) Sophie Calle, Cindy Sherman, Richard Prince, Jenny Holzer, Jack Goldstein, Wolfgang Laib , Alighiero Boetti, Matt Mullican, Absalon, Gabriel Orozco, Mona Hatoum , Rirkrit Tiravanija, Thomas Hirschhorn, Moshe Ninio, Anri Sala, Melik Ohanian and recently Jennifer Allora & Guillermo Calzadilla, Fikret Atay, Hassan Khan.
In July 2005, the Chantal Crousel Gallery leaves the rue Quincampoix, and inaugurates her new gallery at 10, rue Charlot, in the Marais.

LA GALERIE CHANTAL CROUSEL
La Galerie Chantal Crousel s'est établie en 1980, avec la première exposition personnelle hors de la Grande-Bretagne de Tony Cragg.
Depuis, Chantal Crousel n'a cessé de faire découvrir au public et aux institutions françaises et internationales l'oeuvre d'artistes d'origines très diverses. qui ont en commun de révéler les valeurs essentielles qui animent la société contemporaine. - chacun de ces artistes puisant dans ses acquis culturels propres pour apporter des propositions et un langage universels et puissants. La grande majorité de ces artistes sont maintenant présents dans les plus importantes collections.
Parmi les autres artistes que la Galerie Chantal Crousel a été une des premières, voire la première galerie à exposer, citons (par ordre chronologique) Sophie Calle, Cindy Sherman, Richard Prince, Jenny Holzer, Jack Goldstein, Wolfgang Laib , Alighiero Boetti, Matt Mullican, Absalon , Gabriel Orozco , Mona Hatoum, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Thomas Hirschhorn, Moshe Ninio, Anri Sala, Melik Ohanian , et récemment Jennifer Allora & Guillermo Calzadilla, Fikret Atay, Hassan Khan.
En juillet 2005, la Galerie Chantal Crousel quitte la rue Quincampoix, et inaugure ses nouveaux locaux au 10, rue Charlot, dans le IIIème.
