I use oil, but more recently have concentrated on acrylic, which has allowed me to quickly build more complex layers of paint.

I do not set out to pander to the tastes of the homeowner. It is not important if they like the painting or not. I am interested in the motivations for collecting art. Communicating my ambiguity over art collection to a wider audience is an area of interest for me.

Perhaps more interesting is the future like of the painting. A reference to much renaissance art which is now removed from the intended place of display and positioned in white gallery and museum spaces.
